Just Between Us!
Held for women only age 21 & older virtually. As life poses different challenges, it’s always easier to make a transition when you can get advice from those who can relate and who are or have gone through similar circumstances.
By attending the support group, women can begin self-care as the purpose for the group is to offer mutual support, provide & evaluate relevant information, relate personal experiences, listen to & accept others experiences, provide empathetic understanding & establish social networks in a confidential, safe and nurturing environment.
Topics are centered on a variety of issues women face today. Whether you’re looking for inspiration, wisdom, encouragement or some light-hearted moments, we invite you to come and indulge yourself in inspirational conversation with other women just like you!
Comprehensive Care Management -
'Sister Friends' Advocacy for Women
GEORGIA ONLY!
Our goal is to meet your needs at your level of readiness in order to restore or sustain stability. Upon request and/or referral, a woman (age 18 and older) is linked with a peer advocate to provide supportive case management services for up to (1) one calendar year.
The assigned peer advocate will be someone to talk to, help address problems and coping skills, support your needs, challenge you, offer insight, encouragement, empowerment, provide you with linkages to community and/or employment resources, etc.
The peer advocate will help assess, plan, implement, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate the options and services required to help you reach your level of self-sufficiency. We shall maintain your privacy, confidentiality, health, and safety at all times.
Shades Of Women
As mothers, sisters, friends, wives, girlfriends, employees, & every other demanding title, as women, we always put ourselves last. In order to serve the community and our families, we must take time to rejuvenate our bodies, minds, and spirits. We deserve to take time out from stress and other life challenges.
That is what Shades of Women (ages 21 and over) is designed to do; provide moments of fun and relaxation; a time to get re-energized, entertained and inspired with other like-minded women. It is a time to spend with current friends and make new ones!
We host many social networking events in the City of & Metropolitan areas of Atlanta, GA and Columbus, OH.
Extraordinary Women in the Making! -
Teen Girl Mentoring & Leadership Program
‘Building Leadership Skills & Character Traits’ - Age 13 - 19
The success of a young woman is measured by the level of support around her. We strive to help maximize each teen girl’s self-development, helping to build their self-esteem to lead to better life choices and opportunities. We encourage them to become role models to their peers while contributing to the betterment of their community.
Our program helps teen girls build leadership skills like self-reflection, critical thinking, sound decision-making, goal setting, clear communication and personal accountability. Our program provides opportunities for the teen girls to realize their full potential and mix with other teen girls who may be different than themselves.
The application period is June – August of each calendar year.
Our program runs bi-weekly September – May of each calendar year. We provide our program on-site at various community organizations, churches, youth shelters, group homes, juvenile detention centers, middle and/or high schools. We encourage strong attendance to all sessions, activities, and events.
